Dedicated leaders driving our school’s vision forward, ensuring growth, collaboration, and success for our students and community

  • President

    Naomi Withers is a talented business professional serving as the President of the Calgary Classical Academy Elementary Fundraising Society. Naomi has a proven track record of developing and executing successful community campaigns that support vital causes. Her experience includes work with her Community Association, 12CSI, and the Belcourt Brosseau Metis Awards.

    Drawing on a rich background in supply management and a lifetime of volunteering, Naomi excels in strategic planning, stakeholder relations, and event coordination. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Calgary. 

    Outside of her professional role, Naomi is passionate about sports and participates in a multisport league called Superjocks. She believes in the power of community and is very excited to be part of the CCA community.

  • Vice President

    Scott previously served as Treasurer in an interim capacity, using his financial expertise to support ACA Bridgeland’s fundraising initiatives. With a strong background in finance and a passion for community involvement, Scott is excited to step into his role as Vice President, continuing to help drive impactful initiatives that benefit the school and its families.

  • Secretary

    Sarah has been a dedicated member of the ACA community, previously serving on the board as a Director and Interim Vice President. With two children attending ACA Bridgeland, Sarah is passionate about supporting the school’s growth and success. She now brings her experience and commitment to her role as Secretary, helping ensure smooth and effective board operations.

  • Volunteer Director

    Maria is an experienced strategist and business consultant. She served as Treasurer on the pioneering school council executive at CCA for two years. With two children currently at CCA, she brings her experience and passion for fostering community, building accountability, and driving change to the CCAEFS.

  • Library Director

    Maddie Selby is a freelance designer with an architectural background. She has been a volunteer at Calgary Classical Academy Bridgeland since it first opened its doors in 2022. Her heart belongs to art, stationery, anime, and food. She strives to plan fundraising campaigns that bring joyful experiences to the student and parent communities.

  • Communications Director

    Sophie brings expertise in branding, storytelling, and community engagement. With a background in creative tech and strategic communications, she is passionate about keeping families connected and informed while supporting fundraising initiatives that enrich the school community. She has been a volunteer at ACA Bridgeland since it opened it’s doors in 2022. She currently has two children in ACA.

Board Member Role Description

  • PRESIDENT

    The President shall:

    • Have a general knowledge of all activities of the Association and will carry our duties assigned by the Association.

    • Call and preside over meetings of the Board

    • Be the chief spokesperson for the Association

    • Be copied on all Association communications

    • Vote at all meetings

  • VICE-PRESIDENT

    Vice-President shall:

    • Assist the President in all Association activities and will carry out other duties assigned to the President.

    • FiIl the role of the President in the event of the absence, resignation, incapacity or extended leave of until another President is elected.

    • Be copied on all Association communications

    • Have a vote at all meetings

  • SECRETARY/TREASURER

    This is two roles.
    Secretary shall:

    • Attend General Meetings

    • Keep accurate minutes

    • Lead all correspondence and document management

    • Track Members of Association and their contact info up to date

    Treasurer shall:

    • Receive all monies paid to the Association

    • Be responsible for deposits

    • Properly account for funds

    • Present detailed accounts as requested

    • Prepare and submit with Board approval financial reports

  • CASINO DIRECTOR

    Casino Director shall:

    • Manage and maintain AGLC license.

    • Understand regulations and communications with AGLC.

    • Understand our Society’s use of proceed list that we are approved for from AGLC.

    • Oversee a 2-day Casino and manage volunteers and filing of 40 shifts.

    • Apply for required licences for raffles, 50/50, Casinos and other AGLC sanctioned activities

    • Report on the events once they are concluded

  • DIRECTOR AT LARGE

    Director at Large shall:

    • Attend meetings and actively participate

    • Support the initiatives and actions of the Board

    • Participate in annual planning

    • Act as a leader and ambassador for the Association

    • Address concerns openly
